Pinoy VIPs (name for BigBang fans) were thrilled when Manila was confirmed to be a part of BigBang’s Alive Tour slated on October 24 at the MOA Arena (Mall of Asia). News spread like wildfire and the fans expressed their excitement. The tour, which began in Seoul, is promoting the 5th Album Alive.

Touchdown Manila!

Various BB fan groups united and patiently waited at the airport since morning of October 22 to greet BigBang with camera flashes, banners, and screams. Others even brought gifts with them hoping they would get a chance of handing them personally to the boys. In a span of few minutes of having a glimpse on them, hours of waiting was worth it to the VIPs. Filipinos are really remarkable when it comes to giving a warm welcome. There were other VIPs who also welcomed BigBang at Edsa Shangrila Hotel.

GD posted a photo on instagram/twitter 10.23.12 with the caption “Just Chillin

A lot of fans, mostly females, occupied the lobby the next day.

Daesung, Taeyang and G-Dragon wanted to enjoy their time at the pool area.

Lucky fans who were staying at the same hotel expressed their squeals on twitter.

Outsiders worked they way to get near the area just to take a glimpse of the boys — and their bodies. (LOL)

Sandara Park surprised the Filipinos witha surprise visit the next day. Her visit was said to support her YG brothers’ concert. Dara posted a photo of her and Hwassangbu at GreenHills and according to sources she went to Gerry’s Grill Tagaytay with the group in the evening.

VIP campers

A lot of fans camped out at the venue the day before the concert as early as 3pm. The number of people kept rising by the hour. Those people were mostly VIP3 ticket holders. They don’t have reserved seats – standing in front of the stage. They wanted to be the first on the rails and get the best view. The CSR officials were surprised to see fans exert effort for the concert. I’m guessing they don’t know BigBang. The early birds organized the line formations since the officials weren’t expecting this incident and they weren’t informed with what to do yet.

Dress to impress! VIPs were showing off their look inspired by BigBang’s unique fashion sense.

Samsung Philippines kicked off the BigBang High outside the arena followed by Jeju Air. VIP volunteers from different groups distributed banners and goods to everyone. The official BigBang merchandise booth was also present to sell limited products.

VIPs were singing along the video that was displayed on Samsung’s tele. It was an ecstatic moment for everyone. Everyone met new friends and they level of excitement kept rising.

Showtime!

Music videos that were shown on the big screens inside the arena triggered a shrieking outburst before the leg of the concert even began. The introduction throbbed the hearts of everyone as the lights dimmed. As the curtain dropped and the capsules were revealed, loud screams filled the arena. Everyone went crazy when they stepped out.

The crown/light sticks danced to the beat of every song BigBang performed.

There was a lot of interaction from the group throughout the whole concert that made VIPs, especially girls, scream louder. There were “missions” such as fan chants and light executions that barely succeeded with the reason that everyone was busy spazzing.

“I forgot the fanchants because I was singing along with them.. kahit alien yung language sige parin ako sa pagkanta kasi feel ko masyado”

“I can’t help it. My eyes were glued on them”

Each member said their own farewell messages, as the show was drawing to a close, with a sprinkle of tagalog phrases.

“Manila girls have such a beautiful voice! …better than me, that’s true. Thank you for coming today. Please don’t forget tonight. I promise you… We will gonna back again… because I love this place! I love this country Manila Baby! Thank you everybody!”  “Manila.. Sigaw!”- Seungri

“This is our first time in the Philippines…… you are the best all the dolls, posters, photos, I see them all. Thank you…” -GD

TOP spoke in korean at the beginning but said that “We will try to come back very soon” at the end.

“… we will do my best for you guys. I will do my best too.” – Daesung

The VIPs had their own favorite member but TOP was said to be Philippine’s baby and Seungri was the bias wrecker. The leader, G-Dragon, ended the concert by showing off his tagalog skills. Everyone had someone in mind on who taught him this. Dara is obviously behind it for the reason that she learned the Filipino language during her stay here in the Philippines.

“Salamat. Paalam. Magandang Gabi. Mahal ko kayo.” – G-Dragon

Bigbang left a mark on pinoy’s hearts that night. Everybody went home with smiles on their faces and overflowing happy hormones. The bad weather didn’t seem to affect the people at all. It was a definitely a night to remember.
